How does BlackBird connect to my Network?
We put in place our own firewall hardware and software
to ensure that the encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN)
link between your network and our Network Operations Center
is secure.
A DSL, Cable Modem or dedicated T1 line can be used for
a direct connection from our Network Operations Center
at BlackBird to your Network.
What security is there to protect the data on our network?
The best solution is data encryption. Matter of fact if
an organization has valuable data that needs to be maintained
with secure access then data encryption should be in place
already.
If it isn't, then BlackBird can offer many solutions as
part of our Security and Intrusion Prevention Service.
From simply using Encryption File Service to implementing
enterprise policies and procedures we can address your
security concerns.
After all if your not protecting your files from a trusted
entity like BlackBird then what's protecting your data
from hackers, rogue employees, or accidental security breaches.
How is BlackBird priced?
BlackBird is a service that is paid for on a monthly basis.
The price ranges from $20-$70 per node per month depending
on the size of your network and what services you decide
to use.
What tools does BlackBird use to provide its services?
BlackBird is built around Industry leading technology
and staff. The list of software and hardware tools is extensive
with products from vendors such as:
- HP
- Novadigm
- Microsoft
- Dell
How long will it take for my company to get set up on
BlackBird?
Network Management Services are dependent on a connection
to your network. Once a connection is established for most
customers it will only take a few days to bring your systems
online. Training users and establishing the service delivery
workflow typically add an additional couple of weeks to
the installation.
Does BlackBird sit on my Network?
All of the Software exists within our facility. We just
use a secure connection to plug these tools into your network.
What are the Minimum Requirements for BlackBird?
The minimum requirements are as follows:
- Broadband connection with Fixed IP
- Virus Protection
The applications and network documentation has to be in
English
PC's must be:
- Minimum P300
- 500MB free space
How fast can BlackBird fix a problem?
Depends on the problem.
Some PC reported issues would be fixed before a user even
knows of the problem. Other issues that depend on action
outside of BlackBirds' scope will take time to repair.
